Between the years of 2012 to 2017, I studied English Pedagogy at the University of La Serena. Afterwards, I taught English as a Second Language (ESL) to people of all ages, including kids of 5 to 10 years old, teenagers, and adults.
In Chile, I was an ESL teacher for 5 years. Over that time, I managed diverse groups of students from various backgrounds and ages. I found it very important to implement engaging and dynamic methodologies in my classroom.
To enhance my lessons, I designed custom educational material to be meaningful, relevant and practical. Here are some examples of the presentations my students were asked to give:
Being a chef, identifying food vocabulary in English
Social media videographers
Lip-sync song performers
Actors in classic English plays (such as modernized Shakespearian plays integrated with other classes)
Travel agents describing their favourite destination
I hope to have made an impact on their lives and I can safely say they were not the only ones to leave the classroom with fond formative memories!

Soft: Time Management, organization, dynamic lessons
In 2021, I decided to create a YouTube channel called Para Profes to inspire and support teachers in enhancing their own classrooms, especially during the challenges of the pandemic.
I cover topics such as lesson planning, time management, and material creation. Although I have paused recording new videos because I moved to Canada to follow my dreams as a musician, I’ve kept the existing content online so that future educators can continue to find valuable ideas and resources for their own teaching.
